Housing
The project has helped to provide or improve homes for those who
can’t afford it. Traditional homes have Grass thatched roofs which can harbour
ants, rats and snakes, and are a fire risk.
Families find corrugated metal sheets fixed to timbers to be a better solution.
Each house also requires a proper main door.
Traditional homes are shown on
The left with more modern designs
on the right.

Modern buildings may use bricks,
which are locally made. Of course water
is also required. The bricks are dried
in the sun.
